Conference Location and Accommodations
All sessions and meals will be held at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. The Jefferson Hotel received both the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond awards for 2011. Centrally located in the heart of downtown Richmond, Virginia, the hotel is just blocks from the state capital, historic Shockoe Slip, the Richmond Convention Center and Richmondís financial district. All of Richmond's most popular shopping, entertainment venues, museums and restaurants can be reached using the hotel's complimentary transportation.

First opened in 1895, the Jefferson is a charter member of Historic Hotels of America and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. A fine example of the Beaux Arts architectural style, the building also houses a collection of late 19th century paintings as well as a famous life-size statue of Thomas Jefferson. The Palm Court used to feature a fountain and pool with live alligators, and the 36-step polished marble staircase in the lobby is said to have inspired the grand staircase in Gone with the Wind. The hotel has attracted many notable guests through the years, including 12 presidents, Charles A. Lindberg, Sir Edmund Hillary, Charles Chaplin, Sarah Bernhardt, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley, among others.
