Richard Chang is the Founder, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of SMIC, one of the world's leading semiconductor foundries. Dr. Chang has over 25 years of semiconductor experience in foundry operations, wafer fabrication, and research and development. He was President of Worldwide Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. (WSMC) after joining the company in 1997, and previously worked for 20 years at Texas Instruments, where he helped build and manage the technology development and operations of many semiconductor fabs and integrated circuit operations in the U.S., Japan, Singapore, Italy, and Taiwan. In December 2003, Dr. Chang was selected by the China Center of Information Development as one of the ten "China IT Economic People of 2003" for his role in influencing and contributing to the development of China's information technology industry.

Nicky Lu is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Etron Technology, Inc, a provider of high performance memory and logic Integrated Circuit (IC) solutions. Dr. Lu is an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Fellow and a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering. He also serves as a managing board director of the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) and the Association of Allied Industries in Taiwan's Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park. Due to his leadership contributions to the semiconductor industry in Taiwan, Dr. Lu received the Year 2000 National Medal of Excellence in Science and Technology from the Premier of Taiwan.
