Conference Location and Accommodations
All sessions and meals were held at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California. The Loews Coronado is located on a fifteen-acre private peninsula on Coronado Island, bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego Bay
The room cost for our attendees at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort is US$192 plus tax for either a single or a double room. The deadline for reservations at the discounted rate is August 19, 2005. We regret that as of August 4, the limited number of Government Rate rooms available have all been reserved.
Make hotel reservations by contacting the Loews Coronado Bay Resort directly via telephone at 1-800-815-6397 or (619) 424-4000 by the deadline date of August 19, 2005. Thereafter, reservations can only be confirmed subject to availability. Be sure to request the US-Taiwan Business Council's group rate, otherwise you will be charged the hotel's regular rack rate.

Transportation from the airport to the Loews Coronado Bay Resort is the attendee's responsibility. The hotel is located approximately 20 minutes from the San Diego International Airport.
Shuttle rates range from $15 to $25, and a lot of companies offer discounts if round-trip fares are purchased. Shuttle companies servicing the airport are Xpress Shuttle (800-900-RIDE), Cloud 9 Shuttle (800-9-SHUTTLE), Access/Sea Blue Shuttle (619) 282-1515, and Five Star Shuttle (866) 281-4288. Taxis from the airport are also available for approximately US$35.
MTS buses, trolleys and coasters provide convenient transportation throughout San Diego County. Travel to and from the airport, all shopping centers, attractions, beaches, hotels and Mexico. Bus schedules differ, but most hotels and attractions have service every 15 to 20 minutes. The San Diego Trolley runs every 15 minutes throughout most of the day and 30 minutes in the evening. The North County Coaster runs 43 miles along the coast with station stops in downtown San Diego, Old Town, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. You can also get a free trolly transfer which will take you to Tijuana.
